Yeah - this is more like Ostlund grabbing at whatever random idea he can reach and tossing them together rather than taking much time at all to sit with one idea (or even a handful of them) and making it coherent. It makes even his most fleshed out ideas feel flimsy because he becomes increasingly difficult to take at all seriously
