Definitely see this while it is in cinemas if you can, the visuals won’t have that same striking quality at home nor will the scale feel quite so immense. I think even those who haven’t enjoyed this film much have found value in its visual style, so there’s not much to risk on that.
Re: The Outsiders and Rumble Fish - watch the two in that order, they connect a little bit. Both have incredible casts (between the two of them, they contain Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Nicolas Cage, Diane Lane, Emilio Estevez, Tom Waits, Mickey Rourke, Laurence Fishburne - I mean, come on!!) and they’re so different stylistically that they’re both really exciting to see. I have a particular love for the Outsiders personally, but I know many who prefer Rumble Fish
