I think it's more than fair to find something like this overwhelming. A lot of films generally are pretty overwhelming at the moment - I struggle to get through trailers in the cinema sometimes without getting panicky, and am generally on home viewing exclusively at the minute. Some exceptions but it's tricky.

This one works its (relative) plotlessness quite well by turning into an odyssey - one problem solved causes another, etc. And Wick is always positioned as somebody at least trying to do an overall good. But you're still right - even at three hours this is basically a series of set-pieces. I don't mind that really, the movement away from plot is interesting to me even if it's only a fad within mainstream cinema.

But sometimes movie nights do have to take a hiatus! I've been watching less lately and playing more video games. Good for the brain I think
