I’ve always been interested in films (and art, generally) on bleaker topics, which probably comes through in the reviews! I find second viewings tend to help with films like this (so that you can detach a bit from the shock and see the formal work more clearly) but I, too, have my limits - there are films like this that are so tasteless or simply too grim to sit through!
