I like that casual diversity, rather than awkward or forced, in all of Peele’s work. I think here the characters being black does kick the film’s idea of generational trauma forward slightly but as you say it isn’t a major thing.

It’s even less key to Us, and I remember being thankful for that when that film released. I’m glad Peele is able to consistently cast great black talent and to highlight them!
