I had a relatively easy time forgiving a lot of Bukowski’s iffy-ness here just based on the fact that there are moments when he reveals a more appropriate inner self, but still this was a little uncomfortable at times. I don’t think that this text at least is condoning a lot of what Chinaski does, though - maybe that is the case in his other books, I suppose I’ll find out sometime
