Hi there! The point about the subjectivity of the frame is one that we looked at in my Film class a few years ago, and it's interesting. What really is truth! Martin Scorsese has always said that 'Cinema is a matter of what is in the frame and out of the frame' (I'm paraphrasing), so in film often the outside of the frame is implied to a certain extent by the use of sound (of course, this isn't the case in photography!)

Just out of curiosity, what do you think about the recent move to the ability to do 360º shots? I'm personally not sure how they are done, I believe via phone?, but either way that's interesting as then it is the placement that is 'dishonest' or an alteration of reality. Is perspective untrue? I feel like that's an interesting aside :)

Also I do want to explain in my piece I meant to express that, of course photographers can be artful and give a specific view of reality, I was just focused on the camera's ability to show a kind of reality when used that way - my mistake if it wasn't worded that way though :P I really appreciate the perspective as I have been working more with photography lately. Playing with different lenses has been most fun to me for now (if only they weren't so expensive!)
