Bane Capital x Koncept Jack$on — Good Product Review
Looking at the collaborative album from the producing duo and the Virginia MC, Good Product, a concise collection of rap hits with wonderful production and tight flows.
Whilst the simplistic title ‘Good Product’ may also infer a simplicity of said product, this short album from Bane Capital (a producing duo) and Koncept Jack$on is anything but simple. Clocking in at a brief 22 minutes and 9 tracks, Good Product is a wonderful collection of primarily short tracks that use their brevity to their full advantage as they deliver quality instrumentals and consistently impressive flows.
Featuring other rap greats like Wu-Tang’s Raekwon, the extremely hard working Ankhlejohn, previous Madlib collaborator MED and the great Fly Anakin whose last album (a collaboration with underground rapper Pink Siifu) was very strong, Koncept Jack$on is in as good company as he’s ever been in, having previously collaborated with Freddie Gibbs, Mavi and more. The rap elements of the album are all consistently wonderful, as Koncept delivers stripped-back but still thrilling bars on every track and his features more than live up to his work.
The stand-out features are on the second track, Alley Larks, as Raekwon (expectedly) delivers and the lyrics from all fronts are particularly intense. This track sees all of the artists…
